GREAT SHOT! Good job!!! I never seen something like this before! Elk is a
great animal its hard to watch it die however people need to understand
that any meat eater will eat meat, we don’t eat just meat but since its
healthy we go to hunt, people need to stop saying ‘fk that kid he’s and
idiot he killed such a beautiful animal’ while the same person will go in a
market and buy a steak… The hunters i don’t like is the ones that kill
for fun and not for food.
For those that say killing an elk like this is “cruel” you just don’t know
how animals live and die in nature. The fact is 98% of animals that die
“naturally” in the wild die a horrific death either from a natural
predator, disease, injury, starvation, bitter cold winter or fire.
The truth is this elk died in seconds from a human hunter. This is the
most humane way that a natural animal will die in the wild.
Fuck you stop kill animals animals going be goje forever without animals we
die so stol kill them!
Not an ethical shot at all!! You got really lucky with that shot, I won’t
say congrats on the shot at all. but it is a nice elk. And I would never
take a shot like that ever again, every hunter I’ve showed this to said
that’s the most unethical shot they’ve ever seen..
To all the antis and vegans…did you all ever stop to think can plants
feel pain? Are they not living organisms?
Anyone who thinks this is an “unethical” shot should hang their bow up! I
hunt with a recurve and I would take that shot EVERYDAY, ALL DAY! If you
are proficient with your equipment, that is a very high percentage shot!
Any part of the animal south of the face is vital from that angle. I have
taken whitetail on similar shots from out to 34 yds. I have never had a
deer make it out of sight….If you know what you are doing, its a great
angle! The young man made a wonderful shot and the animal didn’t take a
step!
Stop watching the Outdoor Channel and get outside and learn how to shot a
bow!
Great job, Young man! Nice Elk and Nice Shot!!!
How ethical the shot was is based on a factor that we are not completely
aware of– how good a shot is this kid? If he is typically an excellent
shot, then more power to him… You sure can’t argue that this particular
kill caused any sort of undue suffering, because it definitely minimized
any potential suffering.
Some people say that any rifle shot over 100 yards is unethical. I’ve shot
a bison at 800 yards with my .308. It ran about 35 yards across an open
field and dropped. It was down in about 8 seconds. It depends on your skill
level, and never trying to reach beyond that skill level. For some people,
a shot like this kid took might be reaching beyond their skill level and
therefore it would be unethical to try, even if they were successful. For
other people, this might be well within their skill level and nothing more
than a simple shot that landed perfectly and resulted in a very ethical
harvest.
Subject change, no transition: As for all the people who want to wish death
on this kid because he is a hunter, EVERY ONE OF YOU BETTER BE A STRICT
VEGETARIAN, because if you are going to wish DEATH on a kid for harvesting
meat while you much on a hamburger (chicken sandwich, tuna, ham, fish,
whatever!), then it sounds like you are the one deserving to die.
How mean and cruel are you to shoot that poor elk who was not harming you
I really hope you didn’t seek out the biggest bull you could find, because
when that happens, hunting takes a dark turn and loses its meaning, which
is to FEED you and have a season’s worth of meat in the freezer. Trophy
hunting is for evil assholes who have no regard for the eco-system or the
wildlife that live within it. I hope you were thankful for what you killed,
and “thanked” the elk for his life. I know that sounds nutty, but he was a
living, breathing being that died for you and because of you.
What made the arrow/wound-site glow?
Luminock or its kind of product?
Come here and see the beautiful creature, until i see the blood of it, and
see it dead !!!
LOCK IT NOC IT AND DROP IT. GREAT SHOT.GOD BLESS
That’s about as humane a kill as you could ever get. That elk was still
wondering about what happened when he dropped from blood loss. Screw the
fur huggers or the naysayers you’ve got a kill of a lifetime and it’s been
recorded too.
Nothing better to do bitches?
Congratulations Clayton, very nice elk. But as others have already
mentioned, don’t take that shot. I have bow hunted elk for 30 yrs and have
great respect for how strong these animals are. A double lung shot on
animals this large is the only shot that you should ever take. Be patient
and wait next time or you may not be so lucky.
Great shot Clayton right in the wheel house. Look at the timber , has a lot
of dead fall just where the like to bed and hide. Great video you got him
before the wolves did. where are you from? Live in Montana where elk are
king and wolves are killing the elk like crazy, call it nature I call it
mess, Once again good job.
Congrats on a great kill, great shot and great video. Don’t read what some
of these people write. there are some crazy people out there who are so
confuse and you cannot tell them anything.
hes 13 his face makes him look atleast 14
Sweet video Clay, nice shot, amazing animal! And yes, trophy hunting is
fine as long as you’re eating the meat, following the law and thankful to
God for it Animal guardian.
Good. Nothing better than seeing a piece of shit animal suffer.
You sir are a fucking Cunt, And i hope you go to hell :)
to be honest, it wasnt that good of a shot, but you made it to the heart, i
think. Ive shot whitetails before in the chest and had them drop dead. What
kind of broadhead was that
I really hope you sought out the biggest bull you could find, because when
that happens you get a lot more meat. Their are actually some irresponsible
people who will should a young bull and never allow him to grow to his
potential. They are evil assholes (see “Animalbabsitter71) who have no
regard for the ecosystem or the wildlife that live within it. I also hope
you were thankful for all that meat and realize it was by your hard work
and efforts it was all possible. I hope you were intelligent enough not to
thank the elk because he doesn’t speak English and besides he’s dead and
can’t hear. And don’t let any weirdo’s tell you that elk died for you. That
would be a voluntary thing and clearly wasn’t the case. Fantastic job and
keep shooting straight
I assume by your hat you dropped him with a Montec G5 (my favorite
broadhead!)
Woot Woot!
