I hope some hard working and normal guys comes along and break this record.
This bull was killed with a rifle during bow season thanks to the
governor’s tag! All the other hunter in the area were bowhunting! Plus he
had an army of guides scouting and looking for the bull. How many other
hunter avoided or were pushed out of the area because of this fact! If i go
into a basin or drainage and see several truck or other hunter I MOVE out
of respect but I guess we will never know that! !

Was that big guy on a game ranch? If it was to bad and I agree he should’ve
been taken by someone who deserved it.

  4. DrDethstik November 15, 2013 at 7:54 am #

Fucking ranch hunters. Never hunted real thick elks shit. I’ve worked
harder than all these fuckers for 7 years now and still haven’t killed a
    bull.

I agree with TheRpf1977 and DrDethstik. If you have to be handed a bull
who is basically hand fed on a privately owned ranch, you cannot be
considered a hunter. Get drawn like a regular person and hunt the animal
    on your own.

I don’t get all the disrespect for this animal and the guides. Lets see
your footage of a 500″ bull from summer till death. It takes commitment,
love, passion, and time. Its not just a walk in the park. It is a
magnificent beast and you all should feel ashamed for dishonoring this
trophy free ranging bull elk. Mossback crew congratulations to your success
and hardwork. I hope that some day you kill one bigger!

It does not matter if it is one acre or one million acres, if all the laws
and regulations for fair chase are followed it is legitimate. I killed a
Pop & Young whitetail on my 40 this year. It was a buck I had never viewed
before. Does that eliminate it from being an archery book buck because it
    was on my 40? NO!

Turn of the 18th century bull… probably someones private backyard….

Would those that post these great videos please restrict comments to be
filtered so something this special isn’t denigrated? It gets annoying with
all the anti-hunting comments you have to go through to get to the comments
of people who care about wildlife…

didn’t this guy who shot this elk pretty much buy it. to me that’s not
really hunting. i could see if he paid for a hunt and this elk happened to
walk by, but i think he spent over 100000 so u know he knew such a huge
    animal was there

  19. Blazingwheel February 23, 2014 at 5:18 pm #

Amazing how his little head can hold those huge antlers

  20. Barry Fail February 25, 2014 at 7:00 pm #

Mossback is a joke! Their aren’t guides or guiding organization! Mossback
finds private land or farm raised animals that they can coral and hunt as
they please! There is no way this animal was a wild public land bull! No
way! Mossback does nothing but hurt other ethical free range hunters with
their dishonest practices and ignorant illegal behaviors

  21. Alan Gross March 2, 2014 at 7:21 pm #

I don’t necessarily agree with hiring a team of trackers to find game for
people or the fact these guys are taking 800 yard shots. Regardless of what
I think this is a magnificent bull which required a team of people and a
lot of hard work to harvest. It would have been much more impressive to see
a couple of every day hunters take it by themselves. That said, it would
have been extremely impressive to have seen this bull taken with a bow, by
    an average Joe.

  22. ukerday00 March 5, 2014 at 5:56 am #

For those saying that it’s not a world record unless it’s on public land
you’ve got to be kidding me. So if i kill a world record whitetail on my
farm it doesn’t count because it was on private land? You think an animal
knows the difference between private and public land. As long as the animal
can free roam and the animal can come and go as it pleases, it doesn’t
matter if the land is private and public. Now it’s another story if the
animal is fenced in with high fences and can’t leave, but don’t tell me
that it can’t be a world record if it isn’t on public land.

i heard you guys put up road closure signs in the area the bull was in…
    any truth to this?
