Kill all the coyotes you see. There are way to many of them on that
    property.

Excellent episode guys! Not every hunt goes as planned and you did the most
humane thing you could with the given situation. The way you presented the
content and did an almost “recreation” of the events with both the footage
from that day and the overlaid audio of the story was spot on in my
opinion. I look forward to seeing your footage from the Trapping Season
and as always, keep up the good work!

You are a great sportsman my friend. You did the right thing by not letting
him suffer any longer. Take your vengeance out on those yotes and let us
watch as you as you put the balance back toward the deer herd.

Great effort, the deed was more important than the camera footage. Sitting
in the stand, going to and from, you never know what you will encounter.
Many wouldn’t have bothered the effort, or extent. I do appreciate your
attempt, but also consider that deer may have been sick weak or hurt in the
first place, that allowed one or more coyotes to get on a big buck like
    that.

Coyotes also need to be managed. I am no fan, but they do keep rabbits,
mice, other small rodents, feral cats and pests under control. Many
coyotes are losing their fear of humans, interbreed with dogs, and attack
pets livestock and occasionally humans. They are the only large predator
left here in Illinois, and much of the midwest.

As much as I despise them, I respect their role in the food chains. Over
population or eradication of anything, stresses other species, or allows
them to overpopulate, and affects the natural balance and sustainability.
They may not be native, but they replaced the wolf here, which were hunted
out, along with the deer, back in the mid to late 1800’s. Deer have
recovered, and thrived again luckily. If anything needs to be large mammal
carnivore, I think most would prefer coyote filled that role, than wolf,
    bear, big cats, etc.

While there is no coyote presence, rats, mice, rabbits, and every other
small mammal, populates unchecked in large numbers multiple times a year.
What fills the predator void to keep them from devastating food plots and
growing to unsustainable numbers? Coyotes hunting them may be what brought
them to the area, and got them to the populations they are. Chasing and
possibly taking a deer is an opportunity hunt, not their main diet. Remove
the thing that keeps them in check, Will you sit there and trap mice,
rabbits, rats, groundhog, moles, and all the other things they primarily
hunt? Many of which reproduce multiple times a year if not kept under
control by something. What happens when rabbits and rodents overpopulate,
overtake food plots, and potentially spread disease, or other issues?

Coyotes definitely need managed, as do deer, and other species.
Occasionally taking down old sick big animals or young weak ones, and
mostly small rodents, is how they function in nature. Its not something we
like, but it is how nature works. If you are simply hoping to build deer,
and favored game populations, the imbalance of stress from lack of
predators can be devastating to herd and animal health down the road. Old
sick deer breeding, will also impact herd sustainability.

I don’t see feral hogs the same way, they aren’t here yet luckily, and do
need eradicated. They devastate ecosystems, and habitat.

You guys are top notch! I just got addicted to your episodes. Everyone of
them explains in detail what you are doing, how, and why.

You did the right thing taking the whitetail…..he was not going to make
it on his own. I am anxiously waiting the trapping footage from this year!

Great job again, keep up the hard work and it will pay off.
