I applaud your discipline and not taking the shot, to enjoy a possible
“once in a lifetime” encounter. Congrats.

Last year I was on an archer Mule Deer hunt, in high desert of Northern
Nevada. I had hiked into this one area a couple of miles and sat down on a
pile of rocks to take a drink and have a granola bar. As I sat there I
noticed movement off to my left a few hundred yards out. I raised my
binoculars to take a look and saw about 8 Antelope coming into view. I sat
there and watched them raising my binoculars, every once in awhile, to see
if there were any bucks in the group. About the third time I looked through
my binos, the whole group turned and looked to their right, I turned my
binos searching to find what they were looking at. All of a sudden I see
two buck Antelope running down the hill across from me, as I watched they
turned and were coming right at me. Looking through my binoculars it was
starting to look like they were going to run right over me! I started
thinking I was going to have to jump up and start waiving my hands…just
as I lowered my binoculars to see how close they were they veered off and
kept on going about 30 yards below me. The big buck chasing off the younger
buck never even knew I was there. Not quite the awesome encounter in this
video but it was definitely a cool one!

Pretty cool, reminds of a Blacktail doe during the rut, came up to me
within touching distance, then flipped her tail to the side, unfortunately
A respectable 4 pt, did not think to much of that, came to about 10 ft
behind the doe, then gave me the stare down. He tasted pretty good for a
Rutting Buck. Nice job getting that on Video:)
