Nice bull. Good shot. I like that you hunted closer.
The blurb at 7:38 is funny. All that was left out was the color of his
underwear and what he had for breakfast! Anyway, congrats on the elk!
Pretty sure that bull was taken illegally. Optic and sighting systems in CO
are not allowed to be electronic at all. Also Love how those outfitters
have a 1 shot rule. Good Thing you did not run all the other elk off with a
second shot, which is the ethical thing to do, sure the guide was happy u
did not run the animals off with another shot. Unethical and illegal… Way
to go!!!
Feel free to cite all your references before you go trolling. You are just
plain wrong. We have made all appropriate arrangements with various state
agencies. It was made clear to us that illuminated recitals, night vision
optics, light enhancements, and visible lasers are the items CO is
concerned about. Not a scope with a rangefinder. As far as ethics, I’ve
never heard of a second shot to scare off herds ever. I’ll just assume you
made that up. Where did you come up with your ethics???
If the first shot doesn’t scare them why would a second? Have you ever
hunted before? Is that how you hunt? Or are you seriously making this up?
@ Mr Winn- You are dead wrong in every aspect when it comes to rifle
hunting. Those restrictions ARE ON ARCHERY and MUZZLELOADER. (page 12 of
the 2012 Big Game Brochure) Plus, you think the guides would allow illegal
gear to be used on a FILMED hunt and risk their outfitter or individual
guide licenses? There’s and old saying that goes “Better to keep your mouth
closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt”. Should
have checked your facts before posting.
Scope aside, it may just have been the difference in what you saw from the
camera’s prospective or how we edited the footage afterward. Sometimes
follow-up shots are necessary, and the guides don’t stop people from taking
them. Sometimes follow-up shots don’t make it on film, because there is
commotion and the camera-man just can’t get the shot in the frame. We edit
together what we have to make the story as accurate as possible. but if the
shot is taken off camera…

Re: Second Shots in these cases both the deer and elk dropped on the first
shots. When follow up shots are taken sometimes what is seen and felt on
camera is different than reality. There was just seconds between the shot
and the animal dropping to the ground. Commercials added suspense and
extended the time between the shot and drop moments, but in reality it was
just seconds. Our guides are experts and would never let an animal suffer
needlessly.

@ Robert Winn “personal attacks are not necessary”. Take a page from you
own words. All you did was attack and insult the host of the show about
hunting illegally when everything they did was by the book. Your tone and
comments were downright rude. . . So don’t whine about personal attacks
when you’re the one engaging in such activity first.
I want that scope
Great video! Great shots. Check out TeamTagNBrag Channel and subscribe!
It is illegal to use a scoped muzzleloader in Colorado.
how the hell do you get licenses at these places all the time steve?
you do know an elk is also a deer. deer is not an individual species, its a
family of a certain group of animals
Fate caa! dovete mori male merde!!!
