Wow that’s a huge bull
Why have you got a full pack on your back when your the shooter?.
Wow, that’s a big animal! How do you get them off the hill guys when
they’re that big?!
That’s a great bull and I want to provide a big congrats. My only concern
was the 400 yard plus shot with a muzzleloader. The bullet drop around 250
would have been somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 inches, and energy
probably around 900 pounds of energy. At 400 plus yards, the drop would be
significant, and I don’t know how much energy the bullet would loose, but
its got to be getting down into the marginal area for an elk. Again, not
trying to take away from the video, it was a great shot that dropped him in
his tracks, but its not a high percentage shot in my book, and not
something I would want to try on a hunt. On targets, absolutely, but on a
trophy class bull like that, Id want a higher percentage shot. Great job on
pulling it off though!
Let’s be honest, it may be muzzle loaded, but it a gunwerks muzzle loader.
Not you average rifle.
