    Looks like you shot a jake there Dave which is illegal in MS unless 6″.
    That bird had may be. 2″.. We don’t need hunters like you coming to MS to
    shoot birds less than 2 years old. And if you’d shut all that helping and
    cutting they would have walked in your lap. Good calling for contest too
    much and too loud for MS forest Toms. That’s why they putted. You cut when
    they were 30 yards. Common sense says that they are gonna be looking for a
    hen.

    I can’t argue with the result, and it was definitely a nice bird. I must
    agree though that a little less calling and you’d have had a 10 yard
    in-the-clear shot. If you must call when they’re that close, cluck or purr.
    That’s true turkey talk.
