    That’s a great bull and I want to provide a big congrats. My only concern
    was the 400 yard plus shot with a muzzleloader. The bullet drop around 250
    would have been somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 inches, and energy
    probably around 900 pounds of energy. At 400 plus yards, the drop would be
    significant, and I don’t know how much energy the bullet would loose, but
    its got to be getting down into the marginal area for an elk. Again, not
    trying to take away from the video, it was a great shot that dropped him in
    his tracks, but its not a high percentage shot in my book, and not
    something I would want to try on a hunt. On targets, absolutely, but on a
    trophy class bull like that, Id want a higher percentage shot. Great job on
    pulling it off though!

    Let’s be honest, it may be muzzle loaded, but it a gunwerks muzzle loader.
    Not you average rifle.
